LELA Group Achieves ISO 13485 Certification with BSI

We are proud to announce that LELA Group has officially achieved ISO 13485:2016 certification for our medical device quality management systems. 

This milestone was officially awarded by BSI (British Standards Institution), globally recognized as one of the top-ranking Notified Bodies in the healthcare sector. 

The company maintains strict adherence to rigorous regulatory standards. It is the formal recognition of a culture of quality that has been embedded in our organization from the ground up, and it sets the standard for everything we will build from here. 

 

What Is ISO 13485? 

ISO 13485 is the internationally recognized standard that specifies requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS) in organizations involved in the design, development, production, installation, and servicing of medical devices. 

Unlike general quality standards, ISO 13485 is specific to the medical device industry. It demands a consistently high level of control across the entire product lifecycle, from design and supplier management through to manufacturing, distribution, and post-market surveillance. Its requirements are aligned with major global regulatory frameworks, including the CE Medical Device Regulation (CE MDR) and FDA Quality Management System Regulation and other mainly medical device markets such as PMDA and so on. 

Achieving it means demonstrating, to an independent and rigorously qualified external body, that your organization is genuinely structured to deliver safe, effective, and consistently high-quality medical devices. 

 

Why BSI? 

BSI (British Standards Institution) is one of the world's leading Notified Bodies, globally recognized for the certification of medical devices. Founded in 1901, BSI operates in over 190 countries and is widely regarded as setting the benchmark for certification rigor. 

Choosing BSI as our Notified body was a deliberate decision. For our customers, partners, and regulatory stakeholders globally, BSI certification carries weight. It is not simply a mark on a document; it is a recognized signal of genuine, independently verified quality. 

 

What This Means for Dental Professionals and Partners
